Dot's place is a 24-hour residential treatment faciilty for adolesscent girls ages 11 to 17. Dot's Place is a structured treatment program that is geared toward the adolescent who has been unsuccessful in a foster home placement and whose needs would be better served in a small, community, structured group home setting. Dot's Place is also ideal for the adolescent who is transitioning from a larger residential care placement or a juvenile correctional facility and is in need of a step-down, community-based program. The program provides residents with the opportunity to develop coping skills, self-esteem, emotional stability and independent living skills.
Dot's Place accepts adolescent girls who may have been diagnosed with the following mental health diagnoses: Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Learning Disabled, Emotionally Disturbed, Mild Mental Retardation, Anxiety Disorder.
